AXIS has had a long standing commitment to education and our local community - We regularly participate in food and toy drives for our community, as well as donate to local organizations such as College Track, Eastside Prep School in East Palo Alto, The Mural Music and Arts Project, and The Riekes Center. In the summer of 2011 we donated equipment to East Palo Academy which helped them to create a whole new gym for their fitness program.
We are proud to have supported the Semper Fi Fund and the local schools in our Menlo Park community. We have also donated to the Giants Community Fund, a nonprofit organization which uses baseball to encourage under-served youth and their families live healthy, productive lives, and gives kids an alternative to drugs, gangs, and crime. Our donation allowed 40 kids to participate in Junior Giants Baseball.
Over the last 2 years we have helped The JW House, where families of patients on the Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara campus can seek overnight or daytime respite while their family member is undergoing treatment. Our donation was made specifically to "Build it for Bob", a fundraising initiative dedicated to building a safe outdoor play area for pediatric patients & their families.
This past year we made donations to College Track, Menlo-Atherton Education Foundation, The American Cancer Society (specifically for breast cancer research), and Albie Aware, which provides assistance for life-saving diagnostic testing for individuals facing or fighting breast cancer.
