  • Hendrickson Method Orthopedic Massage
  • Clinical Deep Tissue
  • Relaxation Massage

Hendrickson MethodTM Orthopedic Massage is a precise modality which addresses your areas of pain and chronic tension.  An elegant, systematic session includes assessment, pain free muscle releasing, unwinding strokes, joint mobilization, and neuromuscular re-education.  A treatment plan of 3 to 6 sessions will provide noticeable changes including pain relief and increased range of motion. I also provide stretches, postural awareness and strengthening exercises to support progress between sessions.

Blissful relaxation massage is what’s needed some days, with relaxing and nurturing strokes which melt stress and maintain optimum health when you’re pain free.  Either session brings your body freedom from tension and leaves you ready to embrace life with new energy.  I enjoy the challenge of helping you feel fabulous in your body!

Note:  Hendrickson Method Orthopedic Massage can also be effectively performed fully dressed as I don't use lotion or oil for most strokes, which is great for seniors and people who prefer not to disrobe. Comfortable clothing with some stretch is best, (not jeans for instance).  People new to massage with a clinical issue may want to choose HM over deep tissue for this reason as well as the gentle, pain-free nature of the strokes.  This work is perfect for maternity massage as HM is soothing and performed mostly in the sidelying position which is optimum for prenatal massage.

Following a lifelong passion for giving and receiving massages, I changed careers to train in massage. I'm so grateful to do work that's fascinating, that benefits others, and that my spirit is aligned with. There's nothing more satisfying than deeply interacting with a client during a massage and then hearing they are pain-free, relaxed, and happy.

“Mary used orthopedic massage to treat painful muscle spasms in my hip which disturbed sleep and kept me from exercising.  Within a series of weekly visits I was feeling much better, and I was able to sleep comfortably and get active again.  Mary’s command of the muscles that balance the hip is impressive.  She assessed my problem, and proposed a plan of treatment as well as some home stretches and exercises.  She eliminated my pain while performing a very relaxing and pleasant treatment.” - Bob Wilson, Stanford Graduate School of Business

“I never knew therapeutic massage would make such a difference in my well being.  I am able to work longer hours, enjoy more physical activities and am overall more relaxed.  My quality of life has improved dramatically since I started seeing Mary.” - Bill Elmore, Foundation Capital

"My experience (5 years) is that Mary has that rare combination of expertise, passion for her craft, experience, and compassion for her clients. My personal sessions with Mary have always been customized to address my concerns and focused on the tasks at hand." - Norvin Powell, Structural Integration & Orthopedic Massage Therapist

“I consulted Ms. Kline after total knee (TKR) surgery to remove any remaining adhesions and increase joint flexibility in order to climb Mount Whitney.  Her work gave me most extraordinary results.  I subsequently consulted Ms. Kline on a combination neck and back injury with cervical nerve impingement and her work has given me most amazing relief from a very old injury.  I feel fortunate to have located a practitioner of Ms. Kline’s skill and with such mastery of her science.  I have referred a half dozen other individuals to her and they report similar extraordinary results.”  - John Yonts, Author and Screenwriter

"I have worked with Mary for over 2 years. Being a bodyworker myself I choose carefully who I'd like to receive my massages from. I enjoy receiving bodywork from Mary because of her skill level in the Hendrickson Method as well as in relaxation massage. Her calm, friendly personality adds to a soothing experience!"  -Monika Hartwig, Orthopedic & Craniosacral Massage Therapist
